Stakes-winning 3YO colt Casino Prince (Flying Spur-Lady Capel, by Last Tycoon) who won last weekend's Gr2 Alister Clark Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley in Melbourne " could be off to Hong Kong later this year," reported racenet.com.au. Casino Prince (a $140,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale) who now has 4 wins (also including the 2006 Gr3 Skyline Stakes over 1200m at Randwick) & a runner-up from 11 starts for $269,900 earnings "was inoculated yesterday with trainer Anthony Cummings considering all options available to him in the coming months". Cummings confirmed: "We are having a look at the HK mile race (Gr1 Champions Mile) on April 29.'' Cummings added Casino Prince will stay in Victoria for 1 more run before a likely return to his trainer's Sydney base: "He'll have his next start in the Gr1 Australian Cadbury Guineas at Caulfield & then come back to Sydney where we have options. One of those is the Gr1 Doncaster & if all goes well, then Hong Kong could be in our sights.''
