Goffs Ireland Day-4: $368k Night Shift Mare

Bloodstock agent Brendan Bashford (buying for Tony Smurfit) paid €230,000 (A$368,000) for 13-year-old mare Nenuphar (Night Shift-Narola, by Nebos) consigned by Ronald Rauscher as agent & sold in-foal to leading European sire Monsun. Nenuphar is the dam of 5 winners (including Night Tango, 2003 German champion 2YO) & Bashford told racingpost.co.uk: "She's in-foal to a very good sire & has proven herself both ways as a stakes-winner on the track & the producer of a champion juvenile filly & a German Derby runner-up."
