Private Steer At Magic Millions National Sale

Triple Gr1-winning 6YO mare Private Steer (Danehill Dancer-Lisheenowen, by Semipalatinsk) is an early highlight entry for June's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast. Private Steer is in-foal to 5-time Gr1-winning Arrowfield Stud sire Starcraft & Magic Millions managing director David Chester declared: "Private Steer would have to be the best credentialed mare we've had the honour of offering at a Magic Millions sale. Back as a yearling we sold Private Steer & it is testament to the growth & stature of our National Sale that she will go through the Gold Coast ring after proving herself a star on the track." Private Steer (an $18,000 bargain at the 2001 Magic Millions Tamworth Yearling Sale) retired in September 2005 with 12 wins (including the Gr1 Doncaster Handicap over 1600m, Gr1 Stradbroke Handicap over 1400m & Gr1 All Aged Stakes over 1400m, plus the Gr2 Apollo Stakes, Gr2 Warwick Stakes, Gr3 Concorde Stakes, Listed Breeders' Classic, Listed Reginald Allen Handicap, Listed P.J.Bell Handicap & Listed James Carr Stakes) & 5 placings (including the Gr1 Coolmore Classic over 1500m, Gr1 Doomber 10,000 over 1350m, Gr1 Flight Stakes over 1600m & Gr1 George Ryder Stakes over 1500m) from 20 starts for $3,407,290 prize-money.
