NZ Yearlings Day-3: Average Up 42.1%

Overall during yesterday's opening session of the 3-day Select section at the NZB National Yearling Sales, a new record average & median were set as 98 lots sold for NZ$4,831,500 at a NZ$49,301 average (up 42.1% on last year's final Select average of NZ$34,687) & a NZ$40,000 median (up 33.3% on last year's final Select median of NZ$30,000). NZB head auctioneer Joe Walls commented: "From the rostrum this sale felt as strong as any we have witnessed at Karaka. There was spirited bidding right from the outset."
