Quebrada Owner Dies In Argentina
In South America, prominent Argentine stud farm Haras La Quebrada's owner Hernan Ceriani Cernadas died "after a long illness aged 73," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Ceriani Cernadas (a pioneer of Argentina's thoroughbred industry) was instrumental in establishing the Carrera de las Estrellas races (South America's equivalent of the US Breeders' Cup World Championships); he was the president of the Fundacion Equina Argentin (organisers of the event) which was 1st held in 1991. Haras La Quebrada (founder by his father & breeder of more than 170 Gr1 winners) is home to prominent stallions Southern Halo & Mutakddim.
