Bling Retired To Sequel Stallions
US multiple stakes-winning 4YO Too Much Bling (Rubiano-Rose Colored, Lady by Formal Dinner) has been purchased by Audrey Haisfield's Stonewall Farm in Kentucky & will stand at Sequel Stallions in Florida at US$10,000 reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Ohio-bred Too Much Bling won a 2YO maiden at Thistledown by 19.5-lengths in July 2005 before running 3rd in the Gr1 Hopeful Stakes; he then won 4 of his 6 starts as a 3YO (including the Gr2 San Vicente Stakes, Gr2 Carry Back Stakes & Gr3 Bay Shore Stakes). Overall he retires with 5 wins & 3 placings (including the 2006 Gr2 Woody Stephens Breeders' Cup Stakes) from 11 starts for US$509,674 earnings. Sequel owner Becky Thomas declared: "Talk about bling! This horse has a big-time reputation. The numbers say he was the fastest sophomore sprinter in America last year &, as a grandson of Fappiano, he should be wildly popular in Florida."
