Uber Wins Razon Sharp Handicap

Raheen Stud stallion Shovhog (Danehill-Startling Lass, by Luskin Star) added a black-type success when 5YO gelding Uber (Shovhog-Coverage, by Covetous) scored a half-length victory in the $70,000 Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1100m) at Randwick. Uber (ridden by Zac Purton for trainer David Payne) defeated 6YO gelding Dan City (Citidancer-Philotious, by Rivotious) & favoured fellow 5YO gelding Picket Fence (Commands-Mopani, by Jon George). Uber (passed-in as a yearling for $20,000 at the 2003 Inglis Classic Sale) took his record to 7 wins (also including the Listed City Tattersalls Lightning Stakes over 1100m at Randwick in October) & 4 placings from 33 starts for $366,130 prize-money.
