Scott Joins O'Sullivan Training Partnership
Prominent NZ trainer Andrew Scott "will join former champion jockey Lance O'Sullivan in a training partnership from August 1," reported NZ Thoroughbred Marketing. Scott, 30, confirmed he will leave his position as Mike Moroney's NZ training partner at Ballymore Stables at the end of this month. Scott (who has trained 11 Gr1 winners while in partnership with Moroney over the last 6 years) said the highlight was preparing Xcellent (Pentire-Excelo) to win the 2004 Gr1 NZ Derby. His new partner Lance O'Sullivan is now in his 2nd season as a trainer following a stellar riding career.
