Millions Adelaide Day-1: $250,000 General Nediym Filly

Wednesday, 15th March 2006

Morphettville trainer Mark Kavanagh paid top price of $250,000 for a General Nediym-My Madonna filly (consigned by Mill Park Stud on behalf of breeders Peter & Serena Watson & Bob Dinham) during yesterday's Day-1 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale. Kavanagh commented: "She was a nicely balanced filly; a nice walker & the best filly here." Kavanagh prepares the filly's Listed-winning half-sister Divine Madonna (who races for Gr1 glory in this afternoon's Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville) & added: "I'm hoping this filly will turn out very cheap come tomorrow afternoon: Divine Madonna should run very well." The filly is also a half-sister to 10-time winning sprinter Blessum (victorious in the Gr3 Standish Handicap & placed in the Gr1 Galaxy).
