Another Jockey Arrest In UK Race-Fix Saga

In Britain overnight, police "have arrested another jockey as part of their investigations into allegations of race-fixing," reported racingpost.co.uk. An official police statement confirmed the jockey (yet to be named) "was arrested in Cumbria on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud & is currently in custody & being questioned by officers from the City Of London Police". The police investigation (codenamed Operation Crypton) "is Britain's largest ever horse racing corruption investigation & has been hanging over the sport for 2 years"; it has been examining "more than 80 races & more than 130 officers have worked on the case" with "at least 19 addresses raided to date".
