UK Doncaster: $88,000 Bahamian Bounty Colt
Meanwhile at the 1st European sale of 2006, New Zealand-born & Cheshire-based businessman Jim Graham (a long standing patron of trainer Reg Hollinshead) out-bid Gay O'Callaghan & paid top price of 34,000 guineas (A$88,000) to buy-back a Bahamian Bounty yearling colt during the flat yearling & breeding stock session at the expanded Doncaster Bloodstock January Sale in the UK, reported racingpost.co.uk. Graham also bought-back a 2nd Bahamian Bounty colt for 28,000 guineas (A$73,000) & commented: "I valued them before they came here & they didn't make quite enough. Quite honestly, I'm not sure what will happen with them now, as we have had a lot of people interested in buying them privately."
