Saint Liam Starts Stud Career At US$50,000
In the US, last weekend's US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic-winning 5YO stallion Saint Liam (Saint Ballado-Quiet Dance, by Quiet American) "will begin his stallion career for US$50,000" reported bloodhorse.com. Saint Liam "will spend a week or so with trainer Richard Dutrow in New York before heading to William Farish's Lane's End Farm in Kentucky". Saint Liam "figures to prove popular among breeders looking for a male-line alternative to Northern Dancer & Mr Prospector" & Farish summed up: "He's basically an outcross." Saint Liam retired after last weekend's triumph with 9 wins from 20 starts for US$4,456,995 earnings.
