Activation Wins Coongy Handicap

NZ's Cambridge Stud-based champion sire Zabeel (Sir Tristram-Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) added another group success when 4YO gelding Activation (Zabeel-Coogee Walk, by Success Express) won the $100,000 Gr3 Coongy Handicap (2000m) at Caulfield. Activation (ridden by Dan Nikolic for trainer Graeme Rogerson) defeated 6YO gelding Studebaker (Lord Ballina-Centuria, by Centaine) & fast-finishing 5YO mare Uprize (Prized-Impossible Dream, by Imposing). Activation (passed-in for $140,000 as a yearling at the 2003 Inglis Easter Sale) now has 6 wins & 6 placings in 14 starts for $269,350 prize-money.
