Belmont Clerk Took $30k Bet Tickets
Friday Odd Spot: A New York Racing Association clerk "has been accused of punching US$30,000 worth of betting tickets for himself while working at Belmont Park last weekend," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. NYRA president Charles Hayward confirmed the clerk was "a temporary employee who was taken into custody" & the case was reported to the New York state Racing & Wagering Board.
